Banksia Birthday Candles
These easy to grow fantastic dense and compact small banksia shrubs are perfect for rockeries, small gardens, and mass plantings for dramatic effect. They also make fantastic, stylish pot and container plants on the patio, verandah, deck or front entry. Growing 50-60cm tall and approx 1m wide. They create a brilliant long lasting display with their colourful flowers. And are loved by bees and particularly nectar eating birds. They are frost tolerant, tough and hardy once established, and grow in a wide range of conditions. They do like well drained soils, but will also grow well in heavier soils if some organic matter or compost is added. Banksias are phosphorus sensitive, so a good native potting mix is essential in pots. And a native plant fertiliser is best when it comes to planting and feeding time. We suggest planting and feeding with these rock minerals in particular Garden Delight rock minerals. It is a combination of Rock Minerals, Organic matter and a light fertiliser. Perfect for establishing your banksias.

Banksia Birthday candles love a full sun position, half day sun, or light shade position.

Our plants are in 140mm, 180mm and 250mm pots. They are new season plants growing strongly.
