Wild Country Friend Set - 0.4, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 2, 3｜ Tools & Hardware

"Have you got the bag of ‘friends’ Ray??"
A name that’s made history...
Friends represent the most revolutionary protection device ever created in the climbing community and history. Over almost fifty years, though technology has evolved, they’ve kept their essence intact. The core of every model remains the same—its 13.75° cam angle, designed, perfected, and developed by Wild Country and tested in thousands of crack miles since 1977!
The new Friends are no different: designed with a dual axle, they’re still Friends at heart. We all know it—the Friend is the most complex and fascinating piece of gear on any climber’s rack. Here are the main features of the new model: Hollow axles: stronger and lighter, thanks to Wild Country’s original patented technology. Unanodized, polished aluminum cam surfaces: softer metal means better friction when weighted, giving extra grip on rock. New 12mm Dyneema extendable slings: These are what make Friends unique! Extendable slings reduce drag inside cracks and let you save room on your harness by cutting down the need for extra quickdraws.
With great overlap between ranges and a full size set from 0.4 to 4, Friends offer protection in nearly any crack you’ll find out there! Our double-axle Friends have become a market benchmark for stability, versatility, and reliability. For Wild Country, they’re an iconic, time-tested product that reflects our roots—the only device on the market that combines the practicality of a thumb loop with an extendable sling, bringing you the best of both versatility and ergonomic use.
A tried-and-true classic since 1977!
